    Hola,

Had the pickups taken out of a 2011 MIM FSR Deluxe Axe Butterscotch. To my surprise, there was a Rio Grande "Muy Grande" in the bridge, and this PU in the neck.

I think it's an American Standard but not sure. Is anyone familiar with the "EC" PU?

    It definitely isn't.
Never seen an AS pup with cloth wire.

I have had a DiMarzio twang king that looked like that ,the yellow wire is the cover's isolation wire for four way switching.

I think I saw a thread on TDPRI where someone had the “EC” in a Am Std, could be wrong...

I remember the Texas Special had three wires with cloth insulation...

I think it was Elizabeth Cotten's guitar.

    After doing a little research,
The wiring does look like a Texas Special, but haven’t been able to find a picture of one with the “EC” writing

    This one reads 8.81k btw

    Do y’all think it’s a Fender?

Fender website lists DC resistance as 9.5k, but we all know they vary somewhat. That would be a less than 10% variance. So I’d say there’s definitely a chance. For sure? I just don’t know.

Gotcha. Thanks dude. I looks exactly like a TS, so It's most likely Fender. Maybe it came out of a guitar stock, hence the writing. Who knows.
