Probably leftover tilapia fish tacos this Sunday.

I'll be having whatever frozen chicken dinner is left in my fridge.

Yup, actual hand caught Abalone too (diving). Sliced up n thrown into the fried noodles, along with other stuff.

They are quite a delicacy and because of over fishing, we can only collect them for 1 hr on 5 days per year. Bag limit too, and they are very strict.

Wife being from family with ties to Easter tradition, has mixed feelings and the plan jumped all over like a fish on the deck.
I bought fresh spinach & ricotta ravioli and a pile of fresh basil.
    Should all be fine!

First Easter without my mother, so instead of trying to hold onto traditions, we’re having an upscale Chinese dinner

I’m smoking a couple of racks of baby backs later, Jackie’s world famous BBQ Beans, wasabi/garlic mashed potatoes, and sliced avocado

When asked what I wanted for Easter dinner I suggested a young tender rabbit. You know like a bunny. She did not get the joke

I’m making fried catfish, grits, and greens.

And my wife is making a key lime pie, my favorite!

Last time I fried catfish, I rubbed mustard on the fish before dredging, and it was magnificent. Probably going to do that again.

    Easter Dinner update:

Looks like jumbo cocktail shrimp, then crabcakes ( homemade, with canned lump) a rice pilaf dish, and fresh green beans.

    * I always make a fun sandwich with one of my crab cakes w/hamburger bun

We order food at a local place. I live in the Franconian provinces where things are still done old school. We bring our own pots and Tupperware and hand it all over to them and they fill the order for us.

Today it was "Schäufele" and "Kalbsbraten" with potato dumplings, sauerkraut and salad.

My wife made a "Sky torte" for afternoon coffee.

    Happy Easter!

After church and when I run I'm going to this fancy grocery store and pick a good steak and have them grill it up there.
    Always tastes fantastic.

No family to speak of so it'll just me and my salad and steak!!
