Had a couple of hours this morning so I knocked this up. Maybe too early for a midweek but if it's an extra then all is good. ... it's not particularly polished as such but should be fairly nice to play over. If anyone want the chords just say. (If you downloaded this when I first posted it - the bass was too quiet so I deleted and remixed - it was only up a few minutes like that though)

I like how you used thirds in this.

I think is the best I've heard from you Alan. You spelled the chords all the way through. That was nice and tight.

Very hot here at the moment with temperatures that apparently may reach 35C (yes, in England). I stayed indoors with the AirCon on and was quite productive today. After making the backing track I did my own version and even made a simple video for it out of what free stock footage on the theme of summer I could find.

Pretty beachy. I loved the harmonized bits. Thanks again for the track.

I was just fooling around but thanks Mark. Probably 'cause it's a different style of backer for me - it is a cool one!

Well, this is total creativity from the get go. Lovely tone and playing, especially the harmony lines and the video was interesting too. Nice!

Here's my quick take on it. Gear used: Mosrite JR kit (SD QuarterPound bridge), MXR Sugar Drive, Hotone Mojo Diamond, Mooer Radar (2x12 Vox IR), Mosky Spring Reverb.

@Mjark That guitar does sound nice - I have a bit of yearning for a P90 Semi at the moment. Some nice melodies and arpeggios there.
@Alan L Cole Unique phrasing. Really liked your handling of the middle 8 section.
@fendrguitplayr You obviously latched on to the similarity in the chord sequence to 'Lay Lady Lay' but playing that melody left it a little up in the air when the sequence breaks away from those changes. Not so in the Mid8 section though, which I thought was very strong.
@bgmacaw I liked that you were clearly listening to the changes in the sequence and reacting well to them. The almost 'cocked wah' tone was interesting though I felt it would have blended in better with the fairly ambient track with a little more verb or delay.

Got up early today and made a quick recording, Similar to the last Weekly Challenge track, I used two guitars.
