I picked this up for $50 off CL yesterday. Couldn't pass it up for that price and it will be a nice winter project. Someone else obviously had some plans for it and gave up. Seems to be very well made. My limited research tells me its a GX100T made in the early 80's most likely. It looks like a Matsumoku build to me. Did Takamine built their own electric guitars? I don't know much about the brand.
Thanks in advance for any help on this one.
Why do my pictures come through upside down all the time?

Never saw that model before. Waaaay cool. I like the set neck and matching color. I think you have a winter/winner there.

Takamine made several models of solidbody electrics in I think '83 and '84 (@Danb541, I've never heard of them farming out production. I don't know, but I wonder whether the electrics weren't made at the request of the U.S. distributor, which back then was Kaman Music, and not in other markets). Good guitars--great players--with mahogany set necks, I think Seymour Duncan humbuckers.... I had a GX200T (T for tremolo) for a long time; recently gave it to my son.

I am not sure whether your GX100T came without hardware, or you'd just taken it off. If it's the former, maybe these pictures will help you in chasing down parts. All the models used the same tuners, pickups, knobs, etc., as far as I have been able to tell.

In about 1985 Takamine changed their whole approach to everything, went to new headstock design, no more electrics, and all acoustics carried pickups and preamps.

It’s white but doesn’t look like it in that photo.
