Disco Biscuits
Tele-Meister
Semi-regular reader, rare poster. I just picked one of these up at a friend's recommendation and it has just blown me away. I was expecting it to cater mostly to heavier playing, which isn't something I do a lot of personally. I was pleasantly surprised that it makes just about everything sound better. The touch response really lends itself to the dynamics of your playing. So far I've only ran the pedal into the input jack on a few different tube amps, but I'm looking forward to checking it out > FX Loop.
Pros:
- Makes more quiet playing on my Blues Jr sound much better than dropping the master volumeo on the amp down.
- Sounds great just about anywhere I've placed it in my pedal chain
- For me, it's an "always on" pedal that feels like I've noticeably upgraded all of the tones coming from my playing
- Sounds great pushing other pedals or being pushed by other pedals
- Sounds super sweet with my Classic Vibe Tele, to the point where my Gibson is collecting dust.
-
Cons:
- Haven't ran into any yet, but I've only had a week or two with it
Highly recommend at the price of $250 new. I've played other "preamp" pedals that cost twice as much and they didn't move me like this thing does.
