My RAV4 Hybrid makes an annoying sound in reverse -- sort of a celestial choir of robots going "ahhhh"

    I'd settle for "beep beep"

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I'm coming down your street, I'm coming down your street, look to the left, look to the right, I'm coming down your street.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I'm driving down the road, I'm driving down the road, don't cross the street, don't turn left, I'm driving down the road.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I'm an electric vehicle, I'm an electric vehicle, I sing a bit, so you don't get hit, I'm an electric vehicle.

I’m pretty sure some of the newer mustangs have Emulated sounds available

I want an e-car with the sound like the old cartoon Speed Buggy.
Sort of the sound of a guy doing a series of raspberries and the occasional "A-room-a-zoom-zoom!"

that's cool ..you hear your real engine (behind the glass) outside + through the "studio monitors" in the "control room"....mixed with special fx/engine modeling (68 roar)

When first described I thought it was silly, and would be "hokie"
But after experiencing it a few times I was surprised to find it just seemed natural. I really didnt notice the augmented reality at all.
And fwiw, I really dont care for loud exhaust at all, even on performance cars. Its one thing to try to suppress the sound of real power, yet another to just make annoying noise.

EVs? No thanks; I'm just gonna stick with my summer ride, 2000 Boxster S, factory rated for 162 MPH top speed. Of course, I have never driven it that fast.

    I'm sure it's possible.
My son just put new taillights in his Scion that are programmable.
Right now his rear blinkers are falling bricks.

Do you want to hear those sound outside too or just inside? I'm sure it's probably just a matter of wattage and speaker placement.

this is spitting image of my old Guzzi... and I had the same Lafranconi pipes...

sounded nice under hard acceleration... loved the echo, riding through small towns at night....

    a very cool post-modern thought.
if you have a player in your car with a genuine worthy sound system
..... I' get the cd with the sound of an idling, accelerating and cruising 392 blown Chrysler HEMI engine.
this would be a nice touch on a smart car.
