Found this train wreck of a guitar listed on E-Bay. Take a look at his "Fender Custom Shop J. Chisholm TeleStrat."

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-cu...91-/352169323897?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

Here's what he is saying in the body of his ad.

Selling very rare Fender Tele,Strat , custom shop master build , by J.Chisholm 1991 , I have owned this guitar for over 20 years, and very rarely played, working perfect great tone ,neck straight low action, there is slight wear on frets as has been played, and a few markes hear and there, over all condition is very good, but do not expect brand new guitar, extremely rare guitar
Note more than welcome to view and play guitar , any questions be more than happy to answer
No returns , no refunds ,no certificate,
This I can guarantee ( this is an old guitar almost impossible to find another) one of a kind
Please contact me regarding viewing collection sending and payment methods,Will not accept pay pal on this listing

News Flash I have recived a few questions regarding my guitar. One seemingly expert ?suggests I am con man (FO) state that it's not Fender and a frankinstine built guitar by a man in a shed ?how does he know man in shed ? (Meby him self) And fender did not make Tele'strat type
I personally have seen similar fender Tele strat also made by J.Chisholm 1991 ,it was listed in ebay usa a couple of years ago ,I think it was sold for around 2000 dollars or more , ebay them selves will be able to confirm this , I have listed this guitar as I genuinely belive to be true and honest ,
Either way I don't care I i sell or not , I won't be giving this away and won't let it out of my sight ,to me it's an old guitar I don't care about any history or certificate,
As I have stated EXTREAMLY rare

I think some guy in a shed in 1991 built a parts caster and had a decal made with Fender and his name on it (this is part of the reason I don't like the idea of parts casters having Fender decals - but that's a whole other can of worms). Somehow this guy ended up with it and is now trying to flip it for cash regardless of its authenticity.

I've reported it and I'm sure others have obviously reported it. Hopefully E-Bay will take it down, but I'm not too hopeful.

IT was rarely played but has fret wear from being played (rarely?)

That's the reason I no longer do Ebay, there's about a 50/50 chance you're gonna end up doing business with this guy or one of his brothers. It's a piece of crap he oughta just give some kid and be done with it.

    Exactly.

From his disjointed post I believe he is inferring that he was a Master builder.

    Hmmm.
What's going off behind the nut.
    Tuners?. Nice holes there.
Pickguard?. Why a body mount for the pickup and holes for a plate mount.
    12th fret markers.
When did Fender start using a 'gasket' ( can't think of the term ) behind the neck plate?. I know some have it.
The shoulders of the neck pocket look wrong. The placement of the plate looks wrong. I could be wrong.

    It looks wrong.

Interesting sales pitch. "I don't give a damn what you think or say, or what ebay rules are, or whether you buy it."

Looks like the clear coat has been sanded off the sunburst. Hmmmmmm...

Here's what he said when someone asked him a question:

Q: Good day sir, two things. First, you must realize that there is nothing genuine Fender about this guitar. Nothing. Secondly, ebay stipulates that paypal must be accepted.
A: I don't care my listing my auction my rules

    J. Chisholm must have worked at Fender's Skunkworks laboratory coming up with new and highly classified guitars.

    After you, sir.

I'd only buy it, to flip it. Actually flip it off my roof and into the trash.

It's not his auction. Ultimately it's eBay's auction. If someone wanted to press the matter with regards to fraud they could. Enough pressure and eBay could be forced to bend. It may not require it, but getting a lawyer involved would definitely get eBay's attention.

Its not hard to not buy something you know to be a fake or misrepresented, but just because I'm not going to buy it doesn't mean I'm going to ignore it.

I don't think any of us think we're going to change the unscrupulous behavior of some sellers or that we can save everyone but its nice if we can put a wrench in their machine and stop someone from getting screwed.
