beside the tc and the line6, is there any other pedals with tap tempo that have this wonderful mode or should i just stick a compressor with sidechain input after my DD-5?

It's just a delay where the repeats are attenuated (most units allow you to set the ducking/attenuating level) when you're playing and come back up to the set mix/volume when you're not, so that they don't muddy up the sound. Eventide offers this feature as well.

The Strymon Timeline has a ducking delay mode, and the Boss DD500 apparently allows you to adjust the ducking on each of its delay modes.

Eventide has one too... but now you are getting into the upper reaches of expense.

My Tonelab SE has been doing that for 10 years now. I use delay ducking all the time, especially with ping-pong delay.
