On this Friday afternoon I was feeling like some honky tonk and this popped into my head. I have always been a fan. Not sure of his latest output, but Dwight did a lot for country music. Any fans out there?

I'm a huge fan. I think he's still at the top of his game. I really like his current output. Here's the most recent:

    Big fan here.

I like the newer stuff but miss Pete -- as much for his production as his playing.

I discovered DY with his "This Time" album - played the hell out of that one.

For something completely different, check out his CD of cover tunes Under the Covers, where you'll hear his versions of songs popularized by artists as diverse as Cheap Trick, Glen Campbell and the Rolling Stones.

His cover of 'I Want You To Want Me' works surprisingly well.

Likewise. Played this in several bands and never failed to get people up dancing.

Love him. Had a great time when I saw him live a few months ago. He still has it.

I'm a slow learner. Got the This Time album acoupla months ago after listening obsessively to A Thousand Miles from Nowhere on YouTube for a while. Great album.

I saw his This Time tour with Carlene Carter opening.
That was the most perfect-est country bill I could ever imagine.

DY is high on my list of faves as is Pete. I have learned quite a few DY songs - all with Pete's playing. DY's music really connects with me on many levels. Saw him 2 years ago in Champaign, IL. It was a show I'll never forget. Great music!

I really like Dwight and surprisingly so does Mrs Rooster who currently is playing "Dwight sings Buck" to death. Never hear a song from him that I didn't like.

Country Music (especially the new stuff) is my Kryptonite. I really do not like it. And then there's Dwight. I've had respect and have listened to his music here and there since the 2000's and it is something special. Maybe because it's kind of a California thing. Not sure why.

I love and respect him almost beyond reason. Pete's fantastic on the older records, but Dwight is such a great singer, he's great no matter the band.
