I don't get a lot of quiet time to record at home these days, so this is pretty rough (I cringe every time I hear the croaky vocal in the first chorus). Song writing is hard for me, particularly lyrics, but I figure it is a numbers game and maybe I just need to get the bad songs out of my system before I can start writing good ones.

That's a good song, I like the overall vibe.
    Just my first though.

Second: Drums are lacking some consistency/continuity to match that killer Bass.

Arrangement is in the good way.

    Congrats, I'm jealous.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree about the drums. I'm hoping to work it up with the full band--our live drummer is much better than the software drummer I used to record it.

I edited the title to reflect the genre, as the Sub-forum instructions recomend, but I'm not sure what genre to call this. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Not much of a punk fan but I quite like it. Songwriting progresses as you go along but they can't all be brilliant.

Vocally I think it's either in too high a key for you or you aren't 'going for it' enough - which is something that can be hard to do at home. Having said all that, I quite like it like the way it is - sounds a bit like Jonathon Richman. May be worth trying it in another key just to see. I rather liked the song.

Thank you--that's high praise. It is definitely easier for me to "go for it" live than in my little office with headphones on, but even live it is struggle between singing and screaming to hit the notes. I'll try to transpose it and see if the vocals sound more natural that way. Thanks for the feedback.
