How does a BG1400 sound split? Are there clips somewhere that show the difference between split or parallel and full humbucker mode?
I'm trying to determine if it is worth doing or not.

I split the coils at one time and I didn't really like the tone that much. I had it as an Esquire setup and had it to split on the middle and bridge positions. I pulled it out and installed a Cavalier Nocaster Lion which I thought was better for the Esquire. I have since reinstalled it in another Telecaster using a TV Jones Classic in the Neck and the BG 1400 in the bridge with the coils connected. I like it much better in that situation.

I’m going to use it in conjunction with a dimarzio DP240 mini humbucker.
Maybe I’ll just do a regular three way switch....
