I've been lurking around here for a while and I often see people sayin Gas or Gassing (for a new guitar, for instance.) Is that an acronym? Should I be gassing as well? I want to Gas too!

It stands for Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. If you need another guitar despite the fact you already have one (or two, or seventeen, or way too many), you have GAS.

My current GAS is for a Blackguard. Wheels have been placed in motion...

Oh cool! I have it too! My latest was the FSR MIM BSB. It is really heavy but sounds terrific.

You probably are already gassing, and you didn't even know it. Guitar Aquisition Syndrome. GAS.

Now you know what it is, you can make the first steps towards recovery. Buy a guitar... today.

I bought a Gretsch 6120 a while back and thought, "Man, this guitar is expensive. I won't be buying any more guitars any time soon". Two weeks later I found a telecaster I couldn't live without. GAS!!!
