as a metal worker.. that is something I'd knock up... as a first thought...solid!...
I seem to have more metal offcuts laying around than timber ones for making jigs and stuff,... and the welder, cut off saw, grinders, drill press, nuts and bolts.....
the only timber stuff I mess with at home are guitars...
