This just posted!
I just watched it, very cool. Duke is great.
Is he still active on here? He used to show up periodically and answer our fan boy questions.
Watching this right now.
The only time I've seen Duke play was when he was touring with J. Geils Band a few years back. Musically, he fit in perfectly and gave the songs exactly what they needed.
Been blessed to see him up in Maine Woods several times - tele terrific
Thanks for posting this, Smokin!
Been a huge Duke fan for a long time. I made sure to have him show off his 1953 and 63 Telecasters
Duke is a great guy and an even greater player! To hijack this thread briefly....his older brother is the wonderful Buzzy Levine, owner/proprietor of Lark Street Music, one of the best vintage shops out there! I got my tweed Champ from Buzz, he is one very honest and straight up guy to deal with....Buzz has been supplying his kid brother with only the best of the best....
Duke’s been posting some “from the basement” videos on his FB page, mostly all solo guitar stuff, and all of it killer, of course.
Loving the YouTube shows, Zac. More power to your elbow, sir.
thank you for posting this, simply a great hour spent.
Duke has become one of my favorite pickers over the last few years. I just wish he'd put out more music. Thanks for this.
Thanks for posting, Duke is a big influence on my playing...
VERY interesting... he's got Eminence hemp cones in his Princeton (10", either a Lil Buddy or C-rex), and tweed Deluxe (12", so I assume it's a C-rex)
I love the 12" C-rex, have put it in many amps over the years... I've never thought of putting one in my Princeton, (I was about to buy a Private Jack), but it may be just what the doctor ordered....
Wanted to give a plug here for Duke's brand spankin' new Patreon page:https://www.patreon.com/dukelevine
(hopefully that link leads you to a useable page). Well worth the $5/month, just for the lessons alone, but also interviews, performances, gear talk and he's just getting started.
I've wanted to try one of those FSR Princetons from Sweetwater with the tweed covering and C Rex. I recently bough a FSR Pro Jr that has the 10 inch CRex. I really dig it and almost think I could gig it. It stays pretty loud and clean before breaking up which is what I like in my amps.
This. Plus he's starting a Q&A session which should be very interesting. Great content so far and he's only been at it a week or so. Patreon is a great way to support your favorite musician, especially given that their options for playing out and making a living are limited just now.
