I need help. Here’s my situation. I have a couple of Jackson guitars that I dearly love. I find the volume knob always gets in my way. So I moved the volume knob to the tone knob location and buried the tone knob in the cavity. That has worked out great. Except now I am using my Jackson Hardtail 90% of the time. I need a tone knob. There really isn’t room to reinstall it elsewhere in the cavity. Someone told me I could use a duel concentric potentiometer to incorporate volume and tone into one location.
I’m pretty handy with a soldering iron but I know nothing about these potentiometers. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

They are super easy to implement. You can get them in 250k or 500k and some have both as options.
Basically, all you have to do is figure out which is the top and which is the bottom on the lugs, then wire it like you would with 2 different pots in play. And of course, a set of knobs that fits is the final piece, but all of this is common to find out there. Ebay, Amazon, Allparts, GFS, etc.

It only gets difficult if you're looking for ones with push/pull or blend pots as part of the deal. Not impossible though...
