Another Duane Eddy fan here. A looooong time ago (early 60s?) I was given his greatest hits LP - $1,000,000 Worth of Twang. I played that album to death! :)

One of the reasons I play guitar was first hearing this in Forrest Gump. My mom told me who it was and dug out an old record album. I was 13 and didn't start playing for another 2 years, but I never forgot that sound once I started!

We played that song in my 8th grade matching band. Everybody's favorite.
(We didn't have any cool dance steps though)
