I got the AUDIO OUT from the TV plugged in to the AUX input of a boombox-y stereo that has FM and a remote control.

Excessively Tragic! when the home team blows it near the final whistle - the doom-bringing altos and sopranos of Carl Orff's "O Fortuna" seal the deal.

btw O Fortuna means more like "fate" than "fortune" :(

I practice during college football games with the volume off on the TV. You watch the game in the stadium without commentary, right? Except maybe from the opinionated blow hard three rows back.

Yeah, frequently I'm like "Oh I gotta watch the BIG GAME" - but then the BIG GAME, on low volume, turns out to be mostly ignored. It's sort of a beneficially-irritating distraction, enabling good practicing. Somehow. Kind of. Sort of. Things of that nature.

Orff Carmina Burana! O Fortuna -- used for lots of scary movie soundtracks.
    Good choice.

Here's one version (has the lyrics which is kind of nice).
