Dual P90 Strat - New Partscaster Finished

    Hi all,

    Just finished this beauty for a work buddy. It's going to his 14 yr old daughter who is working on recording her first EP.

    Specs:

    Body:     GFS XGP raw mahogany, HSH - finished with 4 coats satin wipe-on poly
    Neck: Warmoth 24.5" conversion neck - compound radius and stainless steel frets. Finish is 4 coats satin wipe-on poly. Wilkinson tuners, bone nut, level, crown, polish, lightly rolled fretboard. This neck needed very little leveling - as close to perfect as I've seen. Fret ends just needed some softening, but totally playable out of the box
    Pickguard: Warmoth custom order
    Bridge: Ping, MIM narrow 3 1/16" spacing, with vintage 3 7/32" hole mounting, full size steel block. Saddles are GFS stainless steel
    Pickups: Guitar Madness, Alnico 5
    Electronics: The good stuff - CRL 3-way switch, CTS 250K pots, Sprague orange drop cap, .022

    Plays and sounds awesome. Really love the short scale neck and it should be a perfect fit for a smaller girl. Strung with 47-11 D'addarios, feels like 10s and setup with nice medium/low action and almost dead flat relief.

    Makes me realize I miss having a soapbar pickup and plan to throw one into the neck of one of my teles.

    Very nice man. I built a dual P90 Strat with Wilkinsons in it, and absolutely love it. Great sounds and plays like butter. Best action guitar I’ve built to date. Can’t show any pics cos she’s in pieces atm getting a refinish job. Was never happy with the original finish I did.

    Those Guitar Madness pickups are a good buy, had one I put in a LP jr style and was amazed at how great it sounded, Nice build ya got there...
