I hate playing guitar in long sleeves, I roll them up if it's winter but even then I might prefer t-shirt if I play for longer.

    What???

I very much dislike long sleeves when playing. Even an intense practice session gets me sweaty, and I'm certainly no Townshend. Not to mention gigs. Am I the only one???

If a drummer has more cymbals that drums they are a cymbalist with a few drums, not a drummer...

I'd happy if Jeff Beck would simply wear sleeves.

For those wondering about Jeff Beck and "his excuse" for no-sleeves...in the recent Documentary I saw on him, he mentioned PLAYING THE DRUMS when Superstition was being written by Stevie Wonder. So...there you go.

If Jeff Beck wore sleeves, then we wouldn't be able to see his lovely metal armbands.

Simply put, there is an age where things that may have looked cool now look ridiculous and silly. When I was younger and in much better shape (this was before Planet Fitness and their $10/month deals existed, and gym memberships were $40/month - and cheap tightwads like myself would go there daily because WE'RE PAYING GOOD MONEY FOR IT, DANG IT!), even then I wouldn't wear sleeveless shirts. I can't stand the "look at my awesome arms" mentality. It's even worse when you're 80 and have no muscle mass at all.... Jeff.....

I just wear sleeves but no shirt. I refuse to conform.

I tried wearing a sport coat at my last drumming gig. That lasted one song. Always wear sleeves though. No one needs to see more of me than necessary.

Our current (interim) drummer wears sleeves.

Am I still allowed to post that?

So that's why I've never (ever) been a fan of Max Weinberg's drumming (dude often wears a suit jacket...)

You just needed a sleeveless sportcoat. Set the new trend.
