This is a 17:43 drive through the redwoods in NorCal. If you've never driven through the redwoods, it might be a bit interesting to you. I removed the sound but if you want to experience what I was listening to as I was driving, put on Pink Floyd's "Animals".

I DO plan on doing a better video this weekend with my GoPro mounted on the hood (bonnet for our friends across the pond).

I haven't had a Californian vacation, since 2013. The exchange rate is a killer.

If you don't love big trees- really big ones- I don't know what to tell you.....

I used to camp almost monthly in the redwoods as a Boy Scout. Later on in life, I ran the Humboldt Marathon.

One of the most majestic spots on Earth.

To @Torren61 , get out of the car and go for a long walk.

Love the redwoods, all types. Have been to Muir Woods, some other forests/groves up in Northern California, and of course Sequoia National Park. They put things in perspective, among other things.

2016. We stayed in Arcata (Go Crabs !)
for the first couple days. Redwoods were a highlight.

It was the “show our son all of California”
    Trip.

Dude, one of my jobs is to inspect the power poles and lines. Miles of lines and I have to get to each individual pole. My entire day is one loooooong walk through the forest, up and down hills and mountains, across fields and pastures trying to avoid poison oak, bears, mountain lions, irate and territorial bulls and illegal grows. I was driving home from training that day and took a detour to quickly get an interesting video.

Nice. I drove the "Avenue of the Giants" once; it was awesome.

Have only briefly spent time in the redwoods there. Spent a day once in the Santa Cruz mountains. There are some weird things that can happen there. After that day, I would not be inclined to ever go deep in the California redwoods by myself again.

It sure is beautiful there, though.

You didn’t hit a nerve you just made an incorrect assumption that needed to be corrected. :)
