    Hey guys,
I'm building my 2nd partscaster and had a disaster. The small drill bit (1/16th I think?) broke off inside the wood while drilling in the tuning peg screws. What are my options?
    Thank you.

Thanks. Will that work given there's hardly any room between this hole and tuner bushing hole? Kind of afraid I will crack the wood making a bigger hole.

Thanks. That kit will work on drill bits not just screws?

When I plug the hole, does it have to be maple (the neck wood), or can I use alder? I have some scrap alder but nothing else.

Just get a tiny bit, drill around it carefully until you can gently extract the part that's stuck in the headstock with needle nose pliers. Drill a bigger hole where the wound was, plug it with a dowl and wood glue, give it a day or so to dry, and try again.

I have noticed lately that a lot of the screws that come with guitar hardware tend to break and strip easily. I think someone's making some crappy screws.

I use toothpicks or kebab skewers for smaller holes this size

    I bought that kit...what a rip off!
But I'm in a pinch and a novice who doesn't know how to do the cheap/free techniques...

Will that kit work on drill bits and not just screws?
