Yeah. Hard to put words to these feelings. Levi's (clothing brand) had a TV ad where a really nice looking white Porsche was demolished for some dumb reason. My response was to stop dead - haven't owned anything Levi's in the 40 years since. You don't punch a guy's mom in the nose and you don't destroy a Porsche for no genuine reason.Songs we grew up with (ages 10-25) tend to become such a part of who we are as an individual that we take this stuff quite personally.
Because it IS personal. It somehow feels like part of oneself has been stolen and used for other purposes.
