My hair can do what it wants, as long as I get to shear it all off every few weeks. I doubt I spend 15 minutes a month on hair care, and that's just to buzz it. I wasn't that way when I was a teen, of course, but by the time I was in my 20s, I had no time for it.

Happens to the best of us. And probably the worst too. But they deserve it.

    Maybe.

I dunno, my kid makes fun of me for the expanding baldness. But, what am I supposed to do? It is what it is.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

Your hair looks as good or better than mine and you're a couple decades ahead of me. Feel lucky!

BTW, That is a killer looking Telecaster. Always loved a white tele with a dark fingerboard.

My hair started thinning about 10 years ago, so relatively late (58 now). My solution was to cut my hair very short.

Lately I have let it grow longer on the top to allow something to style. The woman cutting my hair mentioned something about leaving enough to "comb over", so I may go back to cutting very short on the top.

Grow facial hair and wear glasses to offset the loss of the hair on top, and embrace the bald instead of covering it with a hairpiece.

I have been clipping/buzz cutting for about 5 years now. Should have started doing that years earlier... Once in a while I do a Goatee, but that is more than 1/2 grey, so until it is all grey, no face hair. No shampoo means more money for....

So what do you look like now, Chud? I’ve looked at the picture for ten minutes and haven’t seen a guy in it...

I 90% agree with you—a woman who is “shallow” enough to ignore a bald guy probably isn’t worth the effort...but...

Put the shoe on the other foot.
How many guys’ idea of beauty is a woman with hair loss?
(Don’t reply with pics of Demi Moore or Charlize Theron or Natalie Portman with their head shaved)...

    Buzz it all off.
90% of men look WAY better with a buzz cut and with the $$$ you will save from "maintenance" of hair you can buy a Tele every 3 years :)

Yup, I'm thin on top but I could have nice pony tails out of my ears and nose.

actually testosterone is what makes your hair fall out (and genetics) - thats why women have thicker hair, lower testosterone levels than men generally...

if your T-level goes down, your hair loss should decrease.

its actually not whats on top of the head thats important, more whats inside the head..

And it is mostly in our heads anyway. ;)

Look at chick magnets like Danny Devito. Mother Nature thinks we don't need said hair anymore it seems like... We just need good delivery, after all...

50% of my band are lacking in the hair department. The drummer is 50 and has typical male pattern baldness which he embraces by shaving or buzz clipping what's left. The look suits him and I can't imagine him with hair.
The singer is bald on top but lets the sides and back grow long and wears a hat all the time. He doesn't like being seen without it, and when he needs to change guitars on stage he very quickly lifts his hat up and slides the guitar strap over his head and replace the hat as quick as he can.
Myself and the bass player both have very full heads of hair but are both silver foxes which is cool as we're both in our late 60's.
