Wow....lots of them leaving us lately.
We (our band) used to do Walk On Guilded Splinters back in 1973.
I feel like an old fossil.

    Carry on....

Long Live the Legend of the Night Tripper. I saw him a few times best was a small club gig in the eighties the man really could play.

I saw him open for the Neville Brothers in the 80's. He played solo on the piano.

Dr. John produced a fine record for Van Morrison, "A Period of Transition".

    RIP Mac Rebennack.

A monster player who was originally a guitarist, switching to keys, due to a wayward bullet...thankfully, I saw Mac many times

Rest In Peace Mac. Thanks for the smiles, laughs, and especially the music.

Oh how I long to be in that number ...

We lost another great one. Fortunately I saw him live a handful of times. One of the times I was sitting front row at Buddy Guy’s Legends and Buddy sat in for the show as his rhythm player. It was the best I have ever seen Buddy play and I had seen Buddy no less than a 100 times before that performance.

    A steel guitar engagment.
A great original musician and had a unique vocabulary. I hope somebody posts a video of his second line procession; he played with everybody in New Orleans besides all his recorded stuff.

I never know what to say when one of us leaves because it’s just the way it goes.
I still feel sadness but it is distributed sadness. Sadness for him, his family but sadness for us and our families because it’s coming for Everyone.
Lead a good life, treat yourself like you are someone worth taking care of, treat those around you the same. Life is precious, treat it accordingly.
