Well, I had gotten up to 11 pedals on my pedal board at one point. Downsized to 9...8...and now 6! Here's my current chain. Sounds great!

TU-3 -> Diamond CPR-1 -> Wampler Hot Wired -> MXR 6-band EQ -> Boss DD-7 - TC Electronics Spark Boost.

Sounds pretty good (conceptually).

Do you need the 6 band EQ? They can be noise monsters.

What amp are you using? Can the tone controls on the amp bring the tone?

Just asking man. The board sounds very nice.

I like a pedalboard with 6 pedals. It is a pitty that Pedaltrain doesn't have a pedalboard for 6 Boss sized pedals. I have also a pedalboard with 6 pedals. It is homemade.

Less is more, for me anyway.

I probably have around 100 pedals and I never have more than 7 or 8 on my board at any time.

Why do you have so many pedals? How do you decide which one to use? I often cannot decide if and how I shall use a overdrive pedal for rhythm. There are already so many options:

- no pedal at all, use the overdrive of the amp
- overdrive of the amp in combination with the volume knob of the guitar
- use the overdrive pedal as a boost to put the amp into overdrive
- use the overdrive pedal with the gain knob of the pedal
- combination of the mentioned options

Maybe you need to look for a nice amp. :)
Nevertheless I also love pedals.

Good on you! Less is certainly more!! I have always been a minimalist. I went from a Pedaltrain mini to a nano:

TC tuner >> EWS Brute Drive >> EWS Arion Stereo Chorus

I sometimes add a looper but these 3 pedals are all I need really...

I've never been big on pedals, has a few I'd use occasionally. I've started using them a little more, but my max is 8, and will probably end up as 6. That's a good number!

My wife made this for me. I needed a small pedalboard for my "Old School" Keeley pedals. It's actually an awesome board. I got an old cassette case from the Goodwill store.
