Any views on these two tutors? Any preference?
I lean toward Ken's offerings, he gets down to the Nitty Gritty without to much talk and teaches the solo parts to particular songs I am interested in learning.
Doug a very talented player, seems to do more talking than is necessary, and teaches a lot of licks that "Will fit in anywhere" that is if you can figure out where to use them without over using them.

Full credit to both of these guys, they can play!

I like Doug Seven a lot. I've only watched his free stuff. I've thought about buying his volume 1 or 2.
Never heard of Ken Carlson I need to look him up.

I don't know a whole bunch about Doug, but Ken is so 'everyman' that what I've seen of him I've found very relatable. I actually traded a couple of emails with him about banjo d-tuners (something we have in common) - he was brief (busy guy!) but very friendly.

He's also a great player and a tinkerer; again, tinkering I find very relatable.
