A silly topic that occurred to me when I revisited a clip of a 1980's cowpunk band, Rank and File: bands with two people playing teles simultaneously in a band. Perhaps conventional wisdom would say that's just too much high-end twang, but if it works it works.

The other example that comes to mind is Radiohead, in those cases where Thom is playing electric. (But this case maybe doesn't really count as double-telecaster mayhem, given that Thom plays a Telecaster Deluxe with wide-range humbuckers, and Jonny plays a 90's tele plus with a humbucker.)

Other examples? What's the strategy for making this sort of setup not sound as harsh as conventional wisdom warns?

This is not your typical band but there’s 5 teles in this band. Caught a live show once and was actually blown away by how many people in the audience just jumping. We were sitting but within the first 10 minutes you couldn’t help but join in.

Bernie should get a Larry Fine wig, he'd be more recognizable.

Great stuff! And good song to start the day.

    - Is that a MIJ all rosewood tele the other guitarist is playing?
    - If it is, how did he manage to have a string end popping out from vintage tuners?
    - When I first spotted your t-shirt, I thought it said 'crazy farts'. :D
