Great looking build! Heck, I remember back in the day guys on here would try and hang you for putting a Fender decal on a partscaster. Times have changed...
Thanks, it's a allparts fender licenced replacement neck if that makes any difference. Maybe if Fender started offering more variety in specs without it costing many thousands of dollars more I could have just bought the guitar off the rack. I'm into this guitar for around $700 finished whereas i'd have to go to a Master Builder to get the same guitar from Fender. Guitars I put together myself are for me to play and enjoy and I get exactly what I want. I don't sell them.

My 60s American Original And Squier John 5. Beautiful double bound Teles. My kryptonite.

Let’s see yours.

@Andy Summers The AO 60's Telecaster is, in my humble opinion, the sleeper of the current Fender line.

They are wonderful guitars if you get a good one. The necks on these feel so good to me. I love the '60s C neck shape, especially the way it tapers down above the third fret or so.

As for the finish, I never liked red guitars but the Fiesta Red is more appealing to me than any CAR finish, it's more subtle. And Lake Placid Blue is also a beautiful finish. I feel like Fender really hit all the right notes with this model.

In all fairness .. I'm just a fan of the bindings matching the guard

I hear ya. And I agree mostly. Just wanted the black one for mine..and it is the bwb, so the pickguard kind of has its own white “binding” as well. Looks beautiful to me.

I bought a new Fender neck in a Fender box and all

IMO , Fender really blew their moral rights to the name of the whole guitar when they started supplying necks with decals on them.......
Nothing in the supplied material indicates that it must only be fitted to a Fender guitar.

The instructions simply state that the product is meant for Squier and Fender bodies , and if used on other bodies , it might not fit correctly !

Therefore , IMO , Fender blew it big time
Use this neck on any body you can think of , and it's possible to claim it's a Fender...........And Fender supplied the decal !

Sorry to ramble on about this , nice guitars everybody !

My current project to have a back up at shows. It’s an amalgamation of parts I just had lying around. A “Frankenstein’s monster”.

The body is from an old worn out double bound sunburst GFS body before they made the XGP line. I bought it to build my first tele almost 6 years ago before I knew anything about assembling. Didn’t know what I was doing so it sat in a closet for years.

Already had a sunburst at the time and the body wasn’t worth anything so I thought I’d make something unique. Sprayed over it with some flat paint I got at the store and roughed it up.

It’s not pretty, in fact it’s not even a good relic and it’s kinda trashy, but that’s what I was going for.
