A steel guitar engagment.
Looks like you're having more fun than pain with this thing!
My one Step-sister used to say she wanted a man with a scar and a limp. I can't recall if she ever got him or not.

Biopsy? Mohs surgery? I guess you're one of the folks they have to Frankenstein back together. They're right, in a year or so you'll start looking fairly normal from the neck up. ;)

I had some basal cell carcinoma carved out of my forehead just above my eyebrow. They got it all the first time, but there was a lot of it and the Mohs left a significant crater. The plastics guy said that before his work he and the nurses took the gauze off to look at the site and said "Woah...!" He pulled some forehead toward it and took some skin from my temple to graft over the rest. Maybe 4-5 years later it looks ok. I still don't have much of an eyebrow on that side.

Ya, Mohs.

When I was a lad, I had a bunch of facial surgery done after a car wreck. Some say they didn’t do a very good job, but I say there’s no telling how bad I would look without it! :p

Truth be told I was a ginger kid who burned every time the sun came out. I assume there is a similar fate in store for my skin.

I wouldn't want anyone taking a chunk of flesh off any part of my body!

I hope they got what they wanted and you're "cured". I'm sure you don't want to be going in for that again. Get well soon, after you milk it for it's worth.... ;)

the bandaging looks kinda cool.... looks kinda like the invisible man from the real old movie.....

I'm going to tell people that I got this in a swordfight.

I have so many scars on my head/face/neck/shoulders/belly/hands groin etc that I make Frankenstein look like a newborn.

Nice needle work.
My right eye was a little taut for a while from the tuck (they removed about a dime sized chunk), but it slackened up. Scar is barely visible.

For as rare as melanoma purportedly is as far as skin cancers go, I sure know a lot of people who've had it.

Get those screenings folks.

One of my brothers told me I look like I lost a duel. I've got 5-6 smaller (1 inch) scars on my face from basal cell.

Heal well! Sucks but, well worth it. Last time they did that to me, it was a crater about a quarter's diameter and pretty deep, right above myleft cheekbone ... they handed me the mirror and I went WHHOOAA! then they took skin from behind my ear and did a pretty good, not perfect, patch job, or, body work I should say!

Fair-skinned German/Irish/French Bohemian background. I’m wearing hats more than I used to, especially in the summertime.

My brother got the dark complexion, curly hair and height.
I got the hotter wife.
I won.

John, wishing you well from a fellow dermatological nightmare. Mohs on my left temple in '04 and Mohs again last month on my right hip.

Doc says the temple one was the result of an Irishman driving a plumbing van for years (apparently its a common spot for truck drivers from the magnification of the window).

I haven't been mooning anyone lately, so I have no idea why one showed up on my hip.

Take care brother.
