I know I do!
After spending five hours at the dermatologist's office, I'm stitched up like a baseball, bandaged up, and ready to go.

Well, not really ready to go anywhere for a week or so, just going to hide in the basement, watch too much TV, maybe play guitar a bit, play with the cats, that sort of thing.

That's all I can muster for a half-hearted smile, the bandaged half of my face is still deader than a doornail from about fifteen needle shots of local anesthetic.

I was scheduled to drive a bus on both Thursday and Friday, and I messaged this photo of me to to 'The Office' and told them the situation was way more involved than I was expecting it to be, and that there was no way that I was going to drive a bunch of high school kids anywhere looking like this....so instead of high school kids, they wanted me to drive a group of elementary kids up to a local ski resort on Thursday. I'll terrify those little monkeys if they see the guy driving them looking like he went through a windshield with his face.

No way, Jose!....Johnny boy is hunkering down until he can resemble a human again.

They wanted to show me pictures of the procedure on my face, but I chose to not look at all that and stay blissfully ignorant, but they did get me to look at myself in a hand mirror at the mess just before they were about to start some creative slicing to get it all back together.

It was weird to see a circular, quarter sized, round hole in one's upper cheek, about 1/8th inch deep, and not feel any pain.

I told them that I may never eat lasagna again.

In spite of it's horrific appearance, the only pain experienced during the entire thing was when they were initially sticking multiple hypos full of anesthetic goop into the area, felt like bee stings, but after that, regardless of all the psychologically unsettling slicing, pulling and tugging, then finally stitching the whole mess up, it was amazingly painless....but I expect that might change a little after the wonder drugs wear off.

I hope both of good results from biopsy and the job itself.

When I had hair, it was bright red.
Now that I'm bald, I visit my derm twice a year.
He zaps me with liquid nitrogen and red light.
All over my head and arms.
Not fun.
Good luck and remember:

You could always wear a mask so you don’t scare them!
