Too late Will. In this alternate universe, I have achieved self awareness. I'm gonna go play guitar with a band. See ya, Will.

Fun fact: Physicist Hugh Everett was a legitimate genius, and also the father of Eels frontman Mark Everett (aka E).

I think everything and everyone was stolen by aliens and replaced with an exact duplicate.

Regarding the kid's coffee can 'free energy' generator, Nikolai Tesla invented wireless energy transfer in the 19th century.

Is there a scotsman awake that can translate this?

Geez, there sure is a lot of vitriol in some of these posts. Was there a nicer version of you in the other universe?

Interesting speculation, and not really any more far-fetched than some of the other stuff we are asked to believe.

Cosmic telephone makes me think quantum probabilities are real. We remember things differently because our dice rolled different numbers.

I think it's a lot easier to believe (and empirically evident) that memory is extremely maliable and highly unreliable.

When you remember something, you're not remembering the event itself, but you're remembering the last time you remembered it. And that recollection loses resolution and detail each time (like a copy of a copy of a copy), and your imagination fills in the missing data. People argued about the spelling of "Bearinstain" and the title of "Sex and the City" years ago, when they were current... it's hardly a new phenomenon, but millennials think they discovered it. I wonder how many people in South Africa remember Mandella dying in prison?? I'd wager not many, if any at all.

I used to be a propnant of Hugh Everett's interpretation of quantum mechanics, but it violates Occam's Razor in just about the biggest way possible. It's also deterministic, negating free will, and I can't imagine the purpose of populating an infinite number of universes with automata who only think they have agency.

There are various theories about alternate universes.

The reason for this is because no one has been able to define what time is.

schrodinger's cat and occam's razor don't necessarily play well either though... doesn't negate either and both are 'real'.

It can be measured, and there is even a theory of relativity. But that doesn't define it.
