It is not cute that they clean the road grime off your Subaru Outback while you wait at a light. It's actually a bad habit that our moosie friends will develop if we encourage it. See, in Canada they have snow and snow on roads are often treated with salt, which mooses crave. So much they will jump in front of a speeding car to slake their habit.

    Plural Goose=Geese.
    Plural Moose≠Meese.

    English is strange.

And as far as hitting a moose on the road, you don't want this flying through your windshield.

One of my couriers had a moose hit HIM and it totaled the Nissan van he was driving.

You think that’s weird? How come through, rough, and plough don’t rhyme? But for some reason pony and bologna do?

The thread title sounds like a song.

I can almost hear Sinatra crooning...

Darling, though we’ll soon be apart,
You know that only you hold the keys to my heart!
Please know that I’ll be loving you from afar,
And honey, please don’t let a moose lick your car.

I’d want Nelson Riddle in on it. In my opinion, Frank recorded his best stuff with Nelson Riddle. This has got “hit” written all over it.

I will shake the hand of any man/woman who gets out of their car, points a finger at the moose and delivers a firm “NO!”...

...That is, if they manage to get back in the car...

No meese here. Just armadillos, and the worst thing they’ve done is drink all the Lone Star beer.

How on earth do you stop a moose from licking your car? They're like 20 ft tall. I don't think they are going to care about my perspective one way or the other

    Also
    Cough
    Dough

Edit: I just realized that none of 5 different pronunciations listed have a "g" sound in them either. Sheesh. I'm switching to Esperanto

But "bologna" isn't even pronounced right in the language it comes from, so when it came to English it never had a chance

Years ago, while hiking in NH, my wife and I surprised a moose on a remote trail deep in the mountains - and it of course surprised us. While it wasn't aggressive, it was noticeably upset, and the sheer size of the animal made you realize the damage it could do in a heartbeat if so inclined. I'm still here, so it was not so inclined, but I do hold a great respect for this magnificent creature.

I had to wire my car so that anything that licks it gets 10k volts.

The neighborhood kids around here are weird.
