Everyone's got a bit of troll in them sometimes.
What the actual....is this?
Dang people have short memories these days.
Never heard of them! I've had to google...
I guess they didn't travel well (or not to the UK any way) - that whole look/genre didn't have much traction on the other side of the Atlantic. Thankfully...
Consider yourself lucky.
On the other hand, we didn't have Mud or Showaddywaddy, so maybe we're even.
It's Blowtorch's absence that had me thinking. I jumped on the band wagon egging him on in Beatles threads. I'd feel bad if he left over that, I thought it was all in good fun.
This is NOT a troll but a goblin...King of the Goblins in fact! I just watched The Hobbit finally. I liked it better than LOTR! Martin Freeman was a brilliant Bilbo! Much metter than the brooding Elijah Wood Frodo IMO.
Anyways...here's a species of troll fro your edification.
they should have cast these guys.LOL
What happened to blowtorch? Now that it came up, I haven't seen him posting as of late. Self exile, mandated break, none of my bidnezz?
I think sometimes I'm considered a troll, if I offer a different view. Some understand the point in life of offering an alternate view, while others see it as insubordination. I don't see the point in participating in anything, if I can't add or elevate it in some way.
Also, more and more I have to describe stuff like that to people who weren't born yet for another 10-15 years. Adults, event.
Trolling is not permitted at tdpri, so clearly we don't have any trolls.
All jokes aside, the mods do run a tight ship here so if you think you're being trolled, you might just be a little intolerant and/or over-sensitive.
The definition of troll I use (in this sense) isn't so much someone that will stir things up and leave. Generally they stick around and continue to exacerbate or push people's buttons. Different from someone who is arguing a strongly-held belief or opinion, they may or may not actually believe in what they're arguing.
Their goal, first and foremost, is to get a rise out of people. Therefore the phrase "don't feed the trolls" means to ignore them so they get bored and go away.
And I agree, and applaud the Mods here (and the users as well) who run a very tight ship. TDPRI is the place I come to when I'm tired of politics and coronavirus and people arguing about stuff.
I like how we're all civil adults here, and we can be friends and talk about the things that unite us instead of arguing about the things that divide us.
Have you forgotten the dang people who had short memories “back in the day”?
Wait, they're not?
Then you wouldn’t visit the stomp box forum to promote straight into the amp, or visit he CS forum to claim Squiers are just as good?
