It will be a quiet day at home with Mrs. Steerforth. We’ll fire up the grill, laugh and talk, maybe watch a really good movie. Nothing out of the ordinary planned, but that will make for a fine day in my book.

My father passed on July 5 a few years ago, Marine, Iwo Jima. Landed on day 2, wounded on day 14.
I'll be doing much the same....

I had shoulder surgery on 6/22. Maybe open a guitar case, and huff a little nitro:p

Our county stopped the big fireworks display a few years ago due to lack of funds. Probably just as well this year and not much to celebrate anyway.

Assisted living gig in the morning (I'm outside, they're on their balconies). Evening, serve brisket and ribs, watch fireworks display in park across back fence.

I remember caring for those dogs on 4th of July & New Years Eve. We had to turn the lights on in the living room and a movie up loud to offset the fireworks. That was until my old girls both went deaf. They lived to be 13 & 16 years old. When they became old, we had to be home before dark on these two days. Missed a lot of good BBQ and parties but that's OK.

With the covid spiking around here, no one is calling a BBQ. Will be a quiet weekend.

    All be safe!

Me and a neighbor have been playing tunes for our fellow neighbors on our street the past couple months, an unexpected development from all this quarantining. Gonna do the same on the 4th, looking forward to it. Other than that there will probably be some beers and something on the grill, hang out with Mrs. Telemaster. You know, ‘Merica.

Yup, painting my home office, hanging a small TV on the wall and moving the treadmill from the sunroom to the office :)

I will also probably be fiddling with the nut on one of my MIM Tele Partscasters, going from stock plastic crap to Tusq XL...

Strangely enough, nope. We usually have a full load of family at our cottage + friends and I do a big BBQ. What with five grandkids who absolutely love it here and a lotta friends it’s been a thing for years.

Not this year. We had a granddaughter + her latest BFF up for the week but my wife took ‘em back home and I’m gonna spend another day doing some cottage maintaining but then I’ll actually be driving back to our main house on July 4. I have to be back Monday anyway and my wife doesn’t want to drive the couple hours back up when she knows I’m heading back soon. So this will be a very unusual 4th, like other things this year.

It’s very hot here in N MI and with no AC, no cool night breeze and slow fishing I honestly don’t mind heading back to my house with AC + the missus. We did have a lotta fun with the kids.
