Based on his red barnacaster thats actually a wrap. mine is a one piece super light cherry body, seymour duncan quarter pound set pickups, maple neck, compensated brass saddles. love the look of his.

I've never built a cherry guitar, I wonder how easy it is to work and how it sounds...

Did you use milk paint?

I have made a few cherry guitars, they sound similar to alder

No Nathan, I used regular water based latex. I will clear coat it about 12 coats to protect the finish. Glad to hear about the cherry. I have enough left to do another one and cant wait.

ok guys, you've helped me out so far with this Rev. Gibbons barncaster, now I need opinions. White, black or leather pickguard? I was thinking white all the way as I was building it.
But I kinda like the black I think. what's your thoughts?

Looking good! I kinda like the white, but the black is a close second. Might switch my vote depending on the neck you go with :)
