Before I even read the description I said to myself that's a China knock-off. Sure enough, it came from some fella in China.

I think you can get them cheaper w/o the logo if you go to the site.

I just felt bad for the 13 bidders, some of whom might not know a bad knock-off when one pops-up on eBay.

However in the description the seller clearly states the neck is from China and probably not a real Fender. Don't think he's trying to scam anybody.

So take a look at the 1st string tuner and where it's located .. I don't think that will line up with the slot in the nut ... i.e., it'd be on an angle.

Bad copy. Bad neck. Bad bad bad. Danger Will Robinson!

Maybe not, but the title of his auction says "MIM." And, that's more than a little misleading. And, in his text, he's not stating that it's not a MIM. Poor job of absolving himself of any liability - just a creepy listing, IMO. And, clearly a counterfeit neck.

EBAY clearly states that you cannot sell counterfeit items even if you are honest about it.

So, a guy in France wants the fake Mexican neck made in China offered by a guy in the US.

Thank goodness you guys are keeping an eye on those pesky Dr Evils out there trying to unravel the universe as we know it by flogging off mutant axes made out of recycled rickshaws.

Reported. The seller is being dishonest by appearing to be honest. He says there may be concerns, but has had it checked out and it looks fine. That posting has a lot of word spinning that allows him to stand behind it and never take it back, if a unknowledgeable. User wins it.

I've been an eBay'er since the day they opened the doors. And, this is the worst auction for a "real/not real" counterfeit product I've seen yet. That seller should be banned from eBay, IMO.

This auction still being up says a lot about the current state of EBay.

I dont know. That MIM might of found its way to China somehow. I think the seller has done a good enough job saying that it is fake. It could be real is a possibility. You could also win the lottery and DNA evidence could be wrong; hence my lottery defense strategy. After reading the description, I think the bidders should have themselves to blame for this one.
