My wife doesn't have any hobbies as I would define them. That definition is "I can buy you stuff for your birthday and Christmas to pursue that hobby." What she does do is make her friends and family a priority. As an example: three weeks ago, she and our oldest daughter flew down to St. Augustine to see Willie Nelson. The following weekend, she spent with her girlfriends at the beach.

I think she's got it figured out better than I do.

I don’t have a specific suggestion, but you could ask her a few questions. For example, if she could spend 8 hours doing whatever she wanted would she:
- rather be alone or together with others?
- be indoors or outdoors?
- have a specific goal or just go with the flow and see what happens?

If she could only use one of her senses for 8 hours would it be:
- touch, taste, smell, hearing or seeing?

When it comes to effort would she:
- like to spend time learning or use the skills and experience she already has?

This might not necessarily help to find what she wants to do but it should at least eliminate many potential hobbies she won’t enjoy. Good luck!

My mom's basement.
My wife has really gotten into running at a late age and resumed sailboarding which to me is pretty great. Together we still bike, paddle and hike. She likes to bike alone too.

She loves to cook and bake and I try to show my appreciation.

My interest in hobbies comes from my internal natural desire to learn or accomplish something. Everyone has things they’d like to do. I personally have had a long list for decades. I’m chiseling it away every year. I can go deep into a hobby with seemingly relentlessness ambition. When I seem to have convinced myself I’m ready for something else, I move on.

I’ve done so many fun and interesting hobbies because I wanted to. I had the deep-seeded desire to expand my knowledge and skills. At the moment, I can’t think of any hobbies that I took up, because someone suggested it to me.

A couple ideas I’ve really enjoyed and a lot I still do:

Tube Amp building & Repairs
Amp collecting
Customizing electric guitars & repairs
Guitar & Related Gear GAS
Electronic repairs and restoration
Playing and gigging in a band
Recording Music
Custom build computers from components
Automobile repairs and maintenance
Vintage Cars
Dirt Bikes
Motorcycles & Touring
Snowmobiles
Cycling
Hiking
Mtn Biking
Back Packing Trips
Game Hunting
Skeet/Trap Shooting
Fishing
Woodwork
Metal work/welding
4x4/ATV touring
Canoeing
Pickle Ball
Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding
Create A YT Channel & Make Content
Home Renovations & Maintenance
Power boating & waterskiing/wakeboarding

My wife is a fantastic baker of sweet treats. She would garden if she had more energy - the unmentionable thing has permanently damaged her, I fear. She says she likes knitting, but she never gets really into it. I think she finds it boring but doesn't want to admit it. Training up the dog is a kind of hobby (but also needed), I guess.
She has never even tried to play a musical instrument and I've literally only heard her sing once in ten years - she wasn't bad for not ever doing it!

My wife is an outstanding cook overall…but baking is her specialty….her chocolate chip cookies have the same addictive qualities as crack cocaine.

Don’t laugh….I’m being serious.

My ex wife spent more time with her garden and vegetable patch than talking to me. On the other hand, I had a sideline guitar business that kept me in a huge shed that was my workshop ( it was a registered ABN business also)

My partner is an artist and the last year or so he’s been into fountain pens. It’s an interesting world with fairly low entry fee. You can get in the door under $10 if desired. Goulet pens has a great channel to get in the door. Great online store as well. There’s a whole bunch of YouTube dedicated to it also.

Underwater basket weaving?

Been down this rabbit hole.
You start with $10 ones, end up with $$$$ pens and you don't use those ever much again.

I was writing a ton back in my 20's but now not much at all... So the pens are just "a collection" unfortunately.
At least my guitars I play them...
