Very interested in the THR30 for a son's gift. But I see some pretty serious complaints about the G10 being unreliable.

So does this amp, and for that matter the THR wireless models generally, take any other type of wireless system?

Which one(s) would you suggest? That ideal matrix of reliability and affordability sought, of course.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

No, Yamaha owns Line 6 and that's probably why they utilize only L6 wireless dongles.

If you are open to another similarly spec'd and capable device, try NuX Mighty Space. NuX already INCLUDES the wireless dongle.

Thanks, @generic202.

Checking out the vids and reviews about this thing, and it does seem very useful.

Offhand, do you know what type/generation of iPhone we'd need to access the NuX's control app?

I see some pretty serious complaints about the G10 being unreliable.

The reliably issues likely date back to the initial recall/statement they had to release about overheating. That was solved by a firmware update and only effects the transmitters made prior to 2020.

The G10 is part of the Relay line and has a large user base.
