Call them up and ask them to give you a discount. Seriously, shoot for 15% off. Maybe more.

If you ever see a % off coupon on MF or GC, call them and they will likely apply it to the Squier for you. If you don't call and just add it to your cart, it won't work.

I believe there is a current 17% going on.

Ok I prefer to buy at Sweetwater, thell finance 3 yrs. 12.00 month lol. So they will take off 10.% as low as they will go.which is still $40. Bucks . I have a bonus in March, would pay it off , now I'll just need to get the chief financial officer approval on this. Hope she's in a good mood.

    Got a PayPal account?

Last month, they gave me a 1-year no interest credit account offer. And MF takes PP.

GC is offering 18% discount on most phone orders right now. It might apply to guitars.

They do go on sale, but you’ve got to catch it. I got mine for 20% off last year. I saw it for 15% off the other day. Hope you get one.

I have luck by calling around and telling each salesman, who is in charge of guitars, that I am calling around to see who is least expensive.. Just call around,... eventually, if not immediately, someone will knock off a lot.. It puts them on the defensive, and you are being perfectly honest.. I saved $500.00 off a Martin one time... $500.00 off the regular 'sale' price.. Good luck.

I never buy new... look on CraigsList locallly and Reverb or eBay for a good used one. B-stock are good values as well (dent on a new guitar is a big savings). A good used one likely was set up already, sometimes with pickup upgrade

Got mine on CL for $250, the seller included a generic hard case that ended up having a guitar tuner, a capo and some picks in the compartment.

Or better yet... save up a couple hundred extra bucks and buy a USA model used!
