I remember my first experience with it back in ~1973. It was like rinsing with industrial-strength floor cleaner.

I've been using this one for several years, though it may not be as powerful as the original.

The original Listerine was a staple in my parents' bathroom, so I do occasionally use it for nostalgia sake. But a few years ago, after I had deep pockets in my gums lasered to shrink them, the hygienist recommended using a mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide in it to keep things from getting inflamed again, so I mostly stick with that.

Wow, that takes me back a ways! Forgot all about Listerine. Probly haven't used it since I was a teenager. The original brown colored stuff was nasty tasting compared to the mouthwash they got today, and it burned the inside of your mouth.

We were Scope for the minty green fresh, Lavoris for the red cinnamon mouthwash. Only cause kids like colored mouthwash/rinses. Listerine was yellowish. Not sure any of them worked for the money wasted on them ? I liked red mouthwash, so Lavoris was what I preferred, older brother liked Scope, nobody was a Listerine fan.

I use Listerine's generic counterparts from Walgreens or Target. That harsh chemical taste - how can any germs survive?

I also went thru the LANAP procedure. After that, I switched from decades of Listerine Cool Mint use to CloSys Sensitive and never looked back. 😀

I guess here cheap wine is less expensive that listerine or whatever the equivalent is here.
