Does anyone like the guitar tones George Harrison created with his Leslie speaker?

I own a 122 and I would never use it on a guitar so no, I don’t like what George did with it. But that’s just my opinion.

I love the Leslie sound—but as someone said earlier, it’s like the wah effect or (my opinion) a Phase Shifter.

One of my favorite Leslie Cabinet solos (little rotary speaker riffs and stabs throughout, solo starts at 2:13):

I like his Leslie sound. But in 1969 he overused it. During the Get Back sessions he also played around very often with his wah during conversations, which was pretty annoying

Every now and then a version of Let it Be pops up on the radio here, without the Leslie sound, eh, enhancing the solo, I mean it's a very normal, tasty guitar tone and to my ears, it's head and shoulders above the album version.

No, I'm not a fan.

Edit: I guess this is the rippin' LP solo referenced previously. But I'm not talking about the one on Naked, which I bought as soon as it came out.

You got that right!
I see a few of the Fender Leslie units for sale. To me the real issue is moving it and the foot print it takes up. In the context of a band there are pedals which can get you close to the sound without the cabinet. I kind of agree with those who pointed out that it’s a bit of a one trick pony effect.
Yes, I wonder if something like a Rotovibe pedal can get a similar sound without having to lug a heavy Leslie cabinet to gigs!
