My daughter is seeing these in her apartment. They don't move much at all, light and sound don't phase them, and they don't move if she smacks the wall right by them. They are fairly small - my daughter was afraid it was a cockroach, but I told her no, since light and sound don't phase them.

Any info would be helpful - I just don't know a good way to search for bugs on the web. This is a pic she took - they tend to be found on her wall.

Guessing it's some kind of cockroach. Maybe from Mars?
    Giant bed bugs?

That's it I think, silverfish. They eat curtains, cargo shorts etc. Probably best to get the place fumigated before they do some damage.

Those are "kibble" for the big, disgusting bugs we have in South Louisiana.

Everyone has got to eat something.

Those are known as creepy crawlers.
Not to be confused with The Sphinx.

Throw a penny down for reference! How long is that thing? It does look like a furry roach thingee...

This one is apparently a carpet beetle. They eat your carpets, clothes etc.

Does look like the larval form of a carpet beetle.

It's not a silverfish. It's a skin/carpet beetle larvae. They can eat fabrics etc.
