Does anyone have a 339?

If so can you post a picture of it against a 335 or a Les Paul .. or a tele for that matter.

I keep reading that they are essentially Les Paul sized, but in pictures they look big (probably because I'm so used to that shape being 335 sized) I'm finding it really hard to visualise it's size.

A 339 body is approximately 1/2 inch larger than a Les Paul.

i have an Epiphone ES-339. it is a stupendous guitar. the fit and finish is flawless
my luthier bought the same guitar and told me it is one of his best purchases.
i really like the pickups and the size, sitting and standing is fine - i have a Epiphone Dot ( the 335 size) nice sounding guitar but it had a broken neck ( since fixed) but it was just TOO BIG sitting down. i still have it but in the closet.
that's why i bought the 339 - i missed the sound (and feel) of a semi hollow body - but i got it in a smaller size now - much more comfortable - sounds great - so different than a Telecaster - it's quite striking to play them back to back - throw in a Stratocaster of your choosing and then your really cooking with GAS man...!!!
buy one, you will not regret it ...!

FWIW, I have an Ibanez version of the 339, the AM153. The AM is their 339-sized lineup, and there are a few different models at different price points. I think it's a great size. Super comfortable. No, it's not as "hollow" sounding as a 335-sized guitar. It sits in between that and a solid-body. But it's probably also more versatile. You can go in both directions with it.

The AM body style/ size Ibanez was here, first. Did demand for that give Gibson the idea? Try an AM83 or AM93, mine has the chrome hardware.

I certainly will try an Ibanez, I wasn't aware that they were this kind of size until it was mentioned above.

Another satisfied Epi 339 customer. Inspired by Gibson. I just had the opportunity to pick up a Gibson 339. As nice as it was I couldn't justify the additional $2500. Now if it was burning a hole in my pocket.......

Looks sweet in the red .. the one I missed locally was a Gibson in trans black, it was basically mint (bought during lockdown on a whim I presume) he wanted £1200 ... I just didn't really have the cash, I was waiting for some money to come in and I could have bought it but if it didn't come in as expected I would have been really in the **** at the end of the month. I rang him today to see if I could go round and check it out but he sold it yesterday evening.

I did kick myself for a bit, but I'm over it now.

Epi 339 is one of those guitars that it's very hard to find a bad review of. I absolutely love mine. Got it used but mint for $350.

I picked up a 2010 Gibson Burst 339 last fall.

It is a lovely guitar.

It's very comfortable to play and sounds like a good 335.

It wasn't cheap, but I wanted a higher end Gibson with humbuckers.

It fits the bill.
