Nay-no on sugar water. Or as my dr. calls it, diabetes in a bottle.

I may be a little influenced by heart catheter procedure. Certainly had my share in the past but no diluting.

I think it is interesting that just possibly every person in the country against drinking soft drinks has commented on this thread. Who would have known they were all members of TDPRI.

I have been lectured on the negative impacts of coca cola by someone who was very insistent on the matter. the fact that we were both drinking cokes at the time did not seem to temper the scold.

Similarly, I have endured many lectures on the poor quality of television and that the lecturer does not even own a television while referencing many contemporary shows.

We live in an advanced age!

:lol::lol: I know, you’d think the phosphoric acid lobby would be represented here. Maybe they hang out on the Gibson forum.

Watered down carbonated beverages are nasty. I even request my drink with no ice.
    So, no.

Sorry Mr Martin, you’ve lost me there, although I would wager the usual 50p against a €1 that whatever it was, Lemmy did!

They’re actually over-carbonated and syrupy intentionally because they’re designed to be served on ice. But hey, some people like butter on their donuts.

We made the mistake of picking up a 12 pack of Mello Yello, which is Coke's attempt I suppose to borrow from Mountain Dew. Only comes in the corn syrup version, not a diet one. This stuff is awful. The only way to consume it is to add tons of ice, or tea or fruit juice (or all of those). But it makes it fizzy and it clearly does have caffeine. I guess it could be worse.

I see they avoided infringing Donovan’s ditty by dropping the dubya’s. Although, way before zdonovan, there was a music hall song called Mellow Yellow. It kinda sucked, but that’s not the point.

There’s an orange juice based drink in the UK called Sunny Delight. The supermarkets who carry it are obviously instructed to display it in the chill cabinet beside the fresh OJ. But Sunny D contains a number of additives and would probably survive a week in Death Valley.
