There can be opinion interjected, while still reporting facts with trustworthy sources, rather than just making up lies with no facts and sources to back them up. If you have half a brain you can tell the difference. You have no more way of knowing that you internet sources are factual than those on cable shows.

Do you realize that there are hundreds of shows and movies I watch that aren't on Netflix?

If your mind is so weak that you can't ignore and tune out commercials then I really feel sorry for you. How do you make it through the day?

When non-commercial shows started, I quickly realized I missed commercials as a way to allocate time to other tasks.

But over time, I've come to be able to do that with the pause (or I don't care) button.

My favorite now, is to tell the cat I'll feed him at the next commercial .. when I'm watching commercial free. [sic]

But really ... what I've found and it is a bit of YMMV, is that the non-network (without commercials) is usually not time and/or content edited which means the original theater presentation. Yeah, gimme non-commercial.

Oh yeah ... and I do actually get a kick out of some of the commercials.

Commercials are fine. I grew up with them.

True but you just demonstrated you could watch them on YouTube instead of waiting for them to come around.

    Very rarely, if ever.
    I don’t like commercials.
If it was something I really wanted to see AND ‘with commercials’ was the only option, I’d record it, watch it later and ff through them.

The only way I watch movies is on CD. That way I can watch for as long as I want and then do whatever else comes to mind whenever I want. It usually takes a day or two to get through a whole movie, just watching 20 minutes at a time. The actual time varies based on how hooked I get on any given show.

When you know a movie is 2 hours long, but the broadcast airtime says 7:00pm-10:30pm, that's when you know to avoid at all costs.

No. (insert joke about not watching TV, being gluten free keto and doing cross-fit here)

But seriously. I mostly watch Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu. I do watch some shows on regular cable TV but it's almost always something my wife recorded on the DVR and commercials are skipped and the show can be paused for peeing and such. My wife is the big TV watcher at our house.

The only commercials that I watch are during the Super Bowl.

90+% of what I watch, I watch on DVR. That includes sports. I fast forward through the commercials. Some of the programs now have "smart resume", where you hit FF when a commercial starts and it advances to the end of the commercial break.

I can watch a 2.5-hour hockey game in about 1.5 hours by FF-ing through the pre-game, commercials, and intermissions.

On the rare occasion when I watch something live, I mute the commercials and pick up an instrument or my phone until the commercials are over.
