On the tweed deluxe replica that I am building for myself, I choose Daka Ware knobs and brown Cinch tube sockets...

yea i even changed the knobs on my vox ac15c1 from black to white due to the chassis plate being black. sounds much better! ha! also have white knobs on a black plate of a 5e3 build that is blonde with solid oxblood cloth ,and, black knobs on a chrome plate of a 5e3 build that is tweed with regular oxblood cloth.

remember: don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff!

When I finally get around to building a "clone" of something, I'm going to build for longevity over authenticity; function over form; making budget vs breaking the bank. Now let's see if I can follow through, LOL.

    Yes and no.

I had my real '60 Tweed Deluxe to document how Leo's boys used to build them, so I did a lot of the things that no one does on clones, and yet, I still used modern wiring, a balanced heater supply, DC elevated heaters, etc., which aren't period correct.

It's always that tiny screw where you tell yourself " don't drop it!" Then you drop it in the carpet and you know its the only screw like it in the world! :p
