    Mine are all Boss:
    TU2 tuner
    BD2 blues driver
    SD1 overdrive
    GE7 eq
    RV5 reverb
    DD3 delay
    RC20XL looper
    PW10 wah
I rarely use them all together, mostly I have a 3 pedal board with tuner, drive or eq, reverb plus wah to the side.
I love Boss stuff. I'm not really into modulation or compression but if I did dip a toe into that particular pond, it would be Boss also.

    I have the DD500, the RV500, the MD500 and two GE7s.

Over the years I have had numerous Boss pedals, including the dreaded MT2 and the beloved HM2, as well as the dreaded DS1 twice (I remember the one I had in the 80s sounding so much better than a new one, but that was probably just my ears), two or three tuners, DD3, DD5, and DD7. Plus various and sundry ones I just don't remember.

Boss is good stuff, and it does not suck tone. You know what sucks tone? All true bypass.

    I'll bite...

Try to avoid buffered pedals in general, but I just got an RC500 looper. Powerful unit, and it's going to take me years to really learn it. Nice to have though. I use an octave to emulate bass, and the looper has pretty nice drum rhythms linked up. I'm a one man band - perfect for these times.

I just ordered a CE2W. I'm hoping and expecting it to kick my small clone off the board (which I'll likely hang on to).

    I guess boss is addictive!

I voted two, BD-2 and DD-7, then remembered I also have an old DS-1. I once saw a YT video on converting it to a fuzz, but I never seem to get around to actually doing it.

I had to look up that Boss timeline to make sure I wasn’t forgetting anything. Here goes, in order of original release date:

    DS-1 distortion
    BF-2 flanger
    SD-1 super overdrive
    GE-7 equalizer
    PH-2 super phaser
    OD-2(r?) turbo overdrive
    DS-2 turbo distortion
    CH-1 super chorus
    OS-2 overdrive/distortion
    LS-2 line selector
    FZ-2 hyper fuzz
    HM-3 hyper metal
    SD-2 dual overdrive
    RV-3 digital reverb/delay
    BD-2 blues driver
    TR-2 tremolo
    FZ-3 fuzz
    OD-3 overdrive
    RV-5 digital reverb
    AC-3 acoustic simulator

plus the GT-3 multi-effects as a teen, and the GT-1 currently. Phew! That count nearly doubles if I throw in all the cheapo clones I have based on some of the more unobtainable pedals. Behringer and Valeton, mostly, plus a Slow Gear clone by Rowin I believe?

I accidentally ended up with two FZ-3; one I ordered online was marked as delivered, but nowhere to be found. I bought another used one locally and then the original suddenly materialized on my doorstep. I have one stock BD-2, plus one MHP Galaxie modded that I got used cheaper than a brand new one. I guess the guy thought it was worth less because it was modded? I like em both. Also ended up with a second OD-2. The first one I bought had the remote footswitch jack, but I found that I didn’t like the same settings in both modes. Later I found another in totally trashed cosmetic condition, that worked and sounded fine, for dirt cheap. Bought it as a backup, and/or to be able to set both for different settings. Can’t remember if the second had footswitch (OD-2r) or not (OD-2).

So that’s 20 total Boss compact pedals, 3 of which I own duplicates of, and 2 FX processors. And I’ve still never owned or even tried a Metal Zone! Sheesh!

Edit: even after consulting that timeline picture, I had to go back and add a couple I’d forgotten.

That is correct, though since it's my only buffered pedal I honestly cannot hear any tonal difference. Maybe Boss has worked out their buffer circuit? Honestly it's not that hard, the JHS Little Black Buffer is only 10 components and completely transparent.

    Yep...CS-2 ('86), BD-2 (with Keeley mod), HM-2 ('86), NS-1 (because HM-2) and a RE-20.

I don't run those all at the same time...haha!

    Only my TU-3 Tuner pedal.

I used Boss for years but got tired of that sound of theirs because it's everywhere and so I started to check out Ibanez, Mooer and Electro Harmonix.

I had the SD 1 and hated it. I wanted to emulate zakk Wylde and noticed he used one in his Ozzy days. Only later did I learn he used Japanese made sd1 which is way better

Boss pedals suck. Send yours to me. I'll send you back $25 each and properly dispose of them.

DS-1, CH-1, and a DD-6. All three are killer, buffers or not.
