No, but my wife the bass player, names all of hers.

We do name our cars based on my wife's family tradition:rolleyes:, so I named my motorcycles as well.:D

One guitar has a name. My wife named my acoustic guitar 'choupinette' (little cutie', and the name stuck.

We later tried naming some of the others as well, but nothing stuck, they're just the 'Telecaster, Stratocaster, Les Paul, 12-string, jazz guitar...'

Research has also shown that people who personify inanimate objects tend to be more compassionate towards other humans.

    Enjoy!

I've only named four out of probably ~30-40 guitars: Vinnie(a Dime O Flame guitar that shares his brother's name. R.I.P. Vinnie), Gene (a Dimebag Razor V, Black and Silver (Kiss colors) that looks like a weapon of destruction, which I affectionately named after Kiss's Gene Simons), Lisa Jeanne (a Gibson HP tobacco sunburst Firebird Studio), and a Gibson limited run SG Korina that I call Christine.

Is it better to win 2nd prize in a beauty contest?

I used to call my 80’s SG “Chavelita”. That was a childhood nickname of a woman friend from Chile, who came in second in the Miss Chile contest, some time ago.

Wow, she was beautiful. The SG is kind of purdy, too.

Had a Takamine acoustic I called Taco. Some former band mates actually came up with that. A few months ago, I sold Taco.

I don’t think the rest have names, yet.

I haven't yet, but I think they named me. I swear I heard the Tele whisper "Hey slacker" when I walked by the other night! :)

I mean I do have a few guitars worthy of a name....but the guy playing them.... doesn't seem like he should be going around naming his guitars :|

Probably better left to Albert or BB King.

We name everything in my house. I have a drinking glass with a chip on its lip named "Little Chippy".

I named my first car (nissan 240sx) 'Blinky' because the headlights got damaged and were stuck in 'up' position.

My guitars are nameless (except for their model names) and genderless, except for my SG. I call it "SG", but its previous owner, a good friend of mine, aptly named it "Satan". It answers to "Satan" when in the company of that guy.

I'm not a guitar namer, but I like where you're going with this.
