We have a good comfortable king sized conventional mattress bed, but man, when we lived in our house we lived in before buying our retirement home, we had a wonderful water bed. It had a double heaters, strips sewn into or molded or whatever that gave it increased support, it was PERFECT! My wife bought the bedroom set way up in the mountains, I had to rent a truck to move it to the house. It was PERFECT too. We bought the mattress in town the best one they had when they still had water bed stores around. Man, I was just like a little mouse hunkered down in a paper sack when I went to beddy-by. When we got rid of it, I kept a small kind of dresser/storage cabinet just to remind me of my old bed. Out bedroom TV sits atop it to this day.

Ditto. My cat upchucks fairly often, and she will leave a mess on the bed.

I say most days. If I don't my dog moves in on the pillows! And I went through Navy boot camp. Can make a bed in less than 3 minutes tighter than a drum!

My philosophy is to accomplish big things by not wasting time and effort on small things.

I have a fitted sheet and comforter, just pull the comforter up to a sort of smooth position and watch the Greyhound immediately rearrange it to his liking. He prefers it all balled up in the middle of the bed so no, the bed is not made but he's comfy

If you're married, you will accomplish many big things in the eyes of your spouse by spending time on the 'little things'.

Mrs. Obsessed shares the chore with me. Whoever sees it first unmaid before lunch, but almost always after breakfast and coffee. It is kind of nice to come back into the room and find that your spouse already made the bed. I feel obliged to return the favor, so it seems like a great way to express your feelings even more in the morning this way in both directions.

Let’s add this to “do you wash your coffee cup daily?” or “do you always bother to brush your teeth?”
Adults usually make their bed, tucked in and all.

Not when I get up. Usually about noon I get around to it. I’m not a ‘bed maker’ by nature, but I HATE getting into an unmade bed at night.

Most days I do. I feel like the whole room is a mess if I don't make the bed

I always get up first and have coffee while I catch up on the news. Eventually I go up to see if she plans on getting up and help make the bed.

I try to. There are surely days we don't but generally yes.

However, I do not fold fitted sheets. I take it out of the dryer and roll it in a wad and put it in the closet. Life is too precious to fold fitted sheets.
