I'm trying out the T-Armonds in this Strat, at present.
They sound really good!
Well you seem to be very skilled at your art! I always look forward to opening threads you start to see what kind of awesome pictures you attach. Some of the ones you've posted with the little Yamaha amp in the background look especially classy.
Nice stuff posted here. I love Filtertrons and Gretsch pickups, especially in teles. Well OK in any kind of guitar... lol.
I had a Telesonic once that was a really nice guitar... but I stupidly sold it because I didn't like the stop tail piece. I sold it for a Tele with a more traditional bridge. It was the sexy red stain too. Looked like the one below:
Thanks again, very kind of you to say.
What a great looking guitar!
This one sounds very good to me:
Tele does rock-a-billy, indeed.
I always think my Cabs sound a bit like a Tele and a Gretsh had a fling. They can get nice n jangly and then work well with some gain.
The Fideli'trons in my Cabronita Thinline were what got me so interested in Gretsch-style pickups. Now, I'm really hooked on Gretsch and TV Jones pickups!
I’ll find out soon...I’m taking this partscaster I built to be routed for TV Jones classics this afternoon. I bought a couple of Classics from TV at a guitar show, got a bridge plate from him too, and a tort pickguard from WD.
Actually I know I like the Tele-Tron thing already, as I have played a few. Looking forward to getting mine going.
dannyh... I know you're going to be thrilled when you get it all together. TV Jones' pickups are fantastic.
Gretsch-i-fied Teles, Strats, Gibsons, D'Angelicos... all are wonderful! Great tones.
davenumber2... awesome. I can see that you do!
Fender Fideli'trons in Cabronitas are the "gateway drug" to the world of Gretsch-type pickups! I like 'em with a 1M volume pot!
Mine is only in progress, but there are so many nice guitars in this
thread I had to throw in a photo.
Sweet set-up, including the toggle switch... which is de rigueur to my preference.
